Oxwick Farm Gloucestershire

Xpress Scaffold Systems have recently been awarded a contract the contract to provide a free standing buttressed temporary roofing system and design using the Layher Keder roofing system at Oxwick Farm Gloucestershire by Cemex Uk Ltd.

Xpress Scaffold Systems was chosen to provide the system for Cemex Uk following their accreditation as the preferred supplier at their Rugby cement works.

The Oxwick Farm building is a Grade 2 listed building of much notoriety in the local area and the works have been carefully supervised by English Heritage over the last 6 weeks.

The impressive Building dates back to circa 1722 and is built from stone dressed with Brick displays showing shields ox heads as well as many other features. The building for many years was used to house Cows and livestock after it fell in to diss repair in the 40's.

The building was originally owned by Robert Oxwick after which it changed hands many times before the farm was sold to The British Quarrying Company in 1931.

ARC sold the building to Western Road stone Quarry in the late 70's and the property is currently owned by Cemex Uk ltd who have the task of making safe the structure whilst English Heritage and the other partners decide on a restoration programme.
